All court hirers (including members) are required to read and follow the club's booking Terms and Conditions. Outlined below are some key things to remember.
BOOK THE COURT YOU WANT TO PLAY ON
Refer to the court numbers and layout on this webpage and book the relevant court in the booking system. This eliminates confusion especially during peak hour where there may be multiple overlapping bookings.
BOOK FOR THE DURATION YOU WANT / EXTEND IF NEEDEDt
Make sure you book for how long you plan on playing. If you plan on playing for an hour, book for the whole hour and not just 30 minutes. If you booked an hour but wanted to play more, jump online and make another booking regardless of whether the courts are busy.
While we understand that sometimes you might need an extra five to ten minutes to finish your match and are happy for you to continue if there's no bookings, we ask that you make an additional booking if it might go beyond that. Our premises are monitored so we reserve the right to invoice you for any additional cost if you fail to do so.
AVOID LEAVING THE DIGITAL LOCK UNLATCHED / DANGLING
While we understand leaving it unlocked might be more convenient, we have found that doing so has previously caused irreparable damage to the digital lock as a result of water damage and from the lock constantly banging against the gate when being opened. As such, we ask that you ensure it is latched against the fence during your session time to avoid this. You will be able to use the same booking pin to re-open the lock and lock the main gate up again.
TURNING THE LIGHTS ON / OFF AT AN APPROPRIATE TIME
Unfortunately, our light system is still a manual one so we ask that you turn them on only around the time it's needed (see times above) and turn them off once your booking has ended.
LOCKING UP
If you are the last person to leave the club, could you please ensure the court lights are all off and the main gate is locked. Should your booking end at 6.30pm and there are people still playing but the clubhouse is locked, you can still lock the main gate as they will have a booking code pin to open and lock up.
VISITOR'S FEE - APPLICABLE TO MEMBER'S
Members are able to invite a visitor to play for free up to five times a season after which there is a $5 per hour visitor fee per hour per court that is incurred.
Members are responsible for this taking place and can simply enter the visitor's name in the booking or get them to put the right amount in an envelope.
If a member has hired a single court and has invited one, two or three non-members to play, there is still only a $5 per hour per court fee in total. In some scenarios where multiple courts over multiple hours are used, the club is happy with each visitor simply paying $5 each. The purpose is to simply ensure non-members contribute to the cost of maintaining our facilities.
If you have any questions, please contact Dwayne Augustin on 0422793941 or manningtennis@westnet.com.au.
Clubhouse hire
The MTC clubhouse is available for hire although this is subject to availability and approval by the committee. You can view the clubhouse availability here but all enquiries must be directed to the club at manningtennis@westnet.com.au for consideration and must meet the terms and conditions set out in this form to be considered. Completion of the form does not constitute a booking and explicit approval must be provided by the Manning Tennis Club committee.
