Manning Tennis Club prides itself on catering for all ages including the future - our Juniors. This is reflected not only in our membership prices but also the numerous opportunities to get involved at the club both competitively and socially.
Tennis West Competitions
Club junior members can take part in Sunday morning Tennis West League competitions. With numerous teams involved, it is a great opportunity to play competition while making friends.
Friday evenings is a great opportunity not just for adults but also our juniors (both members and non-members) to have some fun at the club.
Whether it's participating in occasional competitions, making use of free tennis courts under lights to work on their game or have a friendly hit with friends or enjoying a social pickleball game, it's a great way to catch up with each other and build friendships at the club.
It's also a perfect opportunity for parents or siblings to try their hand at tennis or pickleball or simply relax and enjoy the clubhouse and bar facilities along with a sausage sizzle as a way to wind down for the weekend.
Our coaching team Tennis Academy led by head coach and director Mike Gill offers a range of junior coaching programs that caters to all playing ability and offers a structured tennis pathway for all players.
The junior coaching program is run in a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere where kids learn to develop fundamental motor skills not just for tennis but for life.
Visit the Tennis Academy website to see what's on offer.
Greater Playing Access
As part of our membership fees revamp for the 2019/2020 season, we reduced our fees significantly particularly for juniors ages 10 and under to make it more affordable for them to join and get access to use our courts for free throughout the season.
While adults who play regularly at our club independently of their child are expected to sign up as financial members themselves, the club welcomes and encourages parents who aren't members to feel free to have hits with our junior members outside of coaching.
During the same review, we also included a free social (non-playing) membership for parents / guardians with each junior membership in recognition of the important role they play in ensuring our juniors are able to play tennis at our club.
