In addition to all the tennis programs we have for everyone, we also have a range of social activities through the year making Manning Tennis Club definitely a great place to not just for the tennis players but also non-tennis players.
Throughout the year, we organise numerous social events in an effort to create opportunities for members to interact with one another as well as to provide friends and family and the community in general a chance to experience the wonderful atmosphere of our club.
These events includes annual events like Open Day, Quiz Night, Christmas Party and our Playing for a Cause fundraiser as well as other social events throughout the year.
We're also always open to ideas so if you have any suggestions, we'd love to hear them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can find out what events is happening at the club on our events calendar page here.
For us, it's important that we create an environment that enables families with different interest to be able to come to the one place. It also means that as our members grow and go through different phases of their lives, there's still something for them at the club not just on court but also off-court. It's why in recent years, we've installed a new 60-inch tv, a new children's playground, offer table-tennis and now pickleball and hopefully in time, we'll build our games room up to become and feel like our junior 'clubhouse'.
To help usher in the weekend, members and guests can participate in our newly-formed organised Friday evenings tennis which starts at around 6pm where they will play two organised sets of tennis before they are free to continue playing should they wish or relaxing and socialising after. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members and includes a beverage.
Players of all ages can also try their hand at the game of pickleball (thanks to our partnership with Pickleball Perth) on two temporary courts set up on one of our hardcourts. The game is easy to pick up and like tennis it's good for all ages.
Our clubhouse facilities which includes a bar, table-tennis table and a 60inch tv will also be there for you to wind-down and if numbers are sufficient, we'll even have a sausage sizzle.
Registration for tennis and/or pickleball purposes is essential for planning purpose and you can do this by emailing our Club Captain Dwayne Augustin at or contacting him on 0422793941.
Annual Open Day
To officially open every season, we hold an Open Day to get our MTC family together as well as welcome people from the community to come along and have a great time. With free organised social tennis, kids coaching sessions, shortened cardio tennis session, afternoon tea, a bouncy castle and much more, it's always an amazing and fun day.
Playing for a cause
Every November, the club intends to holds our annual MTC Playing for a Cause fundraising event to raise funds for Pancare Foundation.
Championed by our late former President and Club Legend Ajay Tandon, we've held our inaugural Playing for a Cause fundraiser in November 2019 where we raised approximately $10,000 for Pancare Foundation and Cancer Council WA before raising almost $8,000 for Pancare in 2020.
We created the name Playing for a Cause to enable other tennis clubs to get involved and play for their own cause. While we raise funds through everyday hero donations, hold a tournament, sell food and have an auction as part of the fundraiser, the fundraiser format is entirely up to clubs.
