2017 MTC Membership now available online
In exciting news, for the first time ever, the club is offering members the opportunity to apply and pay for their 2017/2018 membership online at https://my.tennis.com.au/OnlineMembership/671250 .
Using Tennis Australia's My Tennis system, this is yet another step that the club is taking to improve our club member's experience and provides a win-win for everyone - you, the club and Tennis Australia.
How to sign up:
1) Simply visit the website - https://my.tennis.com.au/OnlineMembership/671250
2) Log in using your Tennis Australia profile (If you don't have one, it's easy to sign up).
3) Select the relevant membership category and follow the steps.
Note: If you believe you're eligible for the 10% family discount or the volunteer levy, once you've signed up to your membership, please email the club (manningtennis@westnet.com.au) and our treasurer Mandy Griffin (ajgriffi@iinet.net.au).
Don't forget to update your profile too. If you're signing up on behalf of someone, I would encourage you to use a unique login and provide their own unique id.
Who can sign up:
It's not just financial club members that can sign up. The club would also like to know who else is playing tennis down at the club which is why we encourage any casual players to sign up as well using our casual player categories.
What are the benefits for you?
Signing up online is just another way in which you can sign up for a club membership and it now allows you to pay using your credit card for the first time.
In addition to that, being a registered Tennis Australia member also means
1) You're able to enter Tennis West sanctioned competitions (e.g. Thursday night or Saturday afternoon).
2) You will be eligible to access member-only ticket pre-sales for events like the Australian Open and the Hopman Cup and
3) You're eligible to enter exclusive Grand Slam ticket ballots (each member has their own opportunity).
Benefits for the club
One of the biggest challenge for the club is ensuring the accuracy of our club's membership database. By members registering through the My Tennis system, we will be able to ensure that we always have your most up-to-date email and can keep you informed of all the latest happenings of the club.
Having a good database will also enable us to better understand our members and provide you with more tennis choices to enjoy at the club.
Benefits for Tennis in general
As you can appreciate, there are many sports in Australia. By accurately capturing how many people play our wonderful sport, Tennis Australia will be able to understand how to best grow the game and will also have supporting documents to obtain funding and support based on real numbers.
